Swedish Yoga Sports Federation is hosting for the 3rd time, the Nordic Yoga Sports Competition

Yoga Asana competitions originated in India hundreds of years ago and are still being conducted there today. SYSF  is now bringing this spirit of healthy competition to Sweden.  We  believe that the sport of Yoga Asana will inspire many of these practitioners to improve their practices and encourage many newcomers to take up the practice of yoga and the sport of Yoga Asana

The  Athletes will perform a series of 6 postures over 3 minutes. They will  demonstrate  the  elegance and the very best of  a yoga practice. The athletes will  demonstrate yoga āsanas that  have  the following elements 

• Strength
• Flexibility
• Balance

They will perform postures from forward bends, Backbends, twists and lifts.

There are three divisions

1. Youth - under 18
2. Masters 50+
3. Adults 18-49

The Athletes will  have the opportunity to demonstrate this journey with your peers from all around Sweden and Scandinavia, and the world. The top three from each division  will qualify for the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF YOGA SPORTS 2022  this December  3rd and 4th in Bangalore India
